St
Vincent and the Grenadines Yacht Charter Summary Information
St. Vincent and the Grenadines provide great sailing
conditions year round. In the winter months, strong winds of 10-25 knots
prevail from the northeast to southeast, with the wind speed slowing
considerably in the summer. Charter vacations in St. Vincent often include
trips to nearby Bequia, Mustique, Canouan, and the Tobago Cays as well as
dozens of other beautiful, untouched islands that yield plenty of
anchorages. Those new to ocean sailing should be aware of the open water
sailing from St. Vincent to the neighboring Grenadine islands. Large swells
may be experienced during the approximate 20 nautical mile passage between
islands. Many people combine this destination with a charter at Grenada.
